oooo what this O.O?

very well done visual novel, it's beautiful  , i cried while  reading it since the moment it  was clear how things would turn out to the end.

Thanks for reading! I am happy that you liked it

I almost died from drowning when i was very young ..i have this feeling whenever i hear about death by drowning either in reality or  a story

(1 edit)

I'm really sorry to hear that, I believe that this wasn't the best visual novel for you then. Sorry for making you feel uncomfortable...

(1 edit)

it's not your fault  and i still like your visual novel :) i wouldnt have put the 1$ if i didnt like it

Well I'm relieved to know that! Thanks for the donation, it is immensely appreciated!

The game is a hidden gem, made an account just because I want to say thank you to the developer for making this game. The story was simple and yet unforgettable, the art style fits perfect with the mood of the game. I knew its going to be a sad game but i wasn't expecting to burst of tears at the end. One of the most sad but yet wholesome game I've played, thank you.

I am really glad that you found some emotion in this! Thank you for reading and for the kind comment!

I love this whole history <3

I knew I was going to cry from reading the title itself, but I wasn't expecting such a brilliant way to steer the plot.

Honestly, I rarely come across such noveles, but when there is such a combination of romance and sadness, my heart breaks and tears start to appear.

I'm not some kind of expert in these areas, but I just wanted to point out that the author of this game did a really wonderful job, and the time spent on this game, was really well spent, even though there is a strong heat at my place, I had to read this to the end at all costs <3

Thank you for reading! I'm happy that you enjoyed your time with it :)

i loved this.

with my whole heart.

the emotions you could tell were real, if not strong. the music set the mood the whole time. I really do love this.

I'm not very good with words, so i'm struggling writing this, but I do want to let you know that this work moved  me. it was beautiful, every bit of it is perfect.

others say that the sexual scene doesn't go, but in my opinion it fits in perfectly.

this game made me feel emotions i havent felt in a while. (good ones)

just, all in all, amazing game. 100/10. i cant get enough of it.

Thanks for the heartwarming comment! It makes me really happy that this touched you so deeply :)

Wow, just wow.

I was not expecting this. I didn't expect to feel such emotions, I can tell you put your heart and soul into this game and it shows.

a bit of criticism

I feel the sexual element of the game was unnecessary, this would've been incredible without.

P.s this made me cry and I haven't cried in years

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Made an account solely to post this comment. I hope you still look at these, because to me, your game is really impactful. What might seem to others like some niche indie game, its really a story everyone could read and take something away from. The story is so sad, that the sexual nature feels out of place, but if not, it wouldn't be what it is. As a dude, its hard to talk about feelings or even tear up, but I did, quite a few times. It's about 6am right where I am, and I feel this ecstasy coming over me, like I could have just missed this game or skipped over it. However, I am extremely glad I did not, even if it costed me my sleep and energy for work. I took something away from this novel, and it would be that it is much better to explore memories, even ones that are extremely painful, instead of repressing them which, it will bring some solace. I really appreciate what you made, as this little novel has made my entire night, and I will remember it. Props to you and the beautiful work you do!

Thank you so much for the heartfelt comment! It really makes me feel happy to know that you liked the story so much! I hope to be able to tell more stories that you could enjoy!

(but please be mindful of your sleep!)

Andrea, I profusely apologize to you for not commenting earlier [not that your life would depend on it, though)].
I read OLSK a year ago. As a seasoned VN reader I was confident, 'Nah, no onions. Nope, the story is predictable. No way in ren...py will it make me cry, there is no voicing even.'
And yet I was crying. I don't know how you did it, but I was crying.
And the ending is just great, though I expected the MC to leave.
The CG with the half-transparent marine silhouette is a great embodiment of the whole story.

PS I hadn't cried after losing some girls in Katawa Shoujo, I wasn't crying while playing some grim VNs, but Azzurra and Giovanni...

Thank you so much for your comment batrudi, and don't worry about not commenting before! I'm happy to know that this story was able to communicate something to you, it pays back all the effort I put into the story. I hope that I can give you other stories like this in the future!

I also hope so. If you ever need help editing texts in English and Russian, LMK.
I'm not a native speaker, but I teach English as a foreign language for a living and I help proofread/translate VNs for free.

I helped edit https://namelessnoun.itch.io/infamous8/  and the video scripts for https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC2P80KxEtlkoTFscHsH3NA/videos

+ I translated Infamous8 and one lewd VN into Russian.

Thanks for the offer! Send me an email so that we can reman in contact, you can find my address on my website

A bit of a spoiler here!

Hey, I would like to thank you for this wonderful game. No words can describe what I felt after playing this game. It's like a feeling of bitterness with a drop of happiness. Bittersweet? I think that's the word. I really can't thank you enough, and I didn't realize it until now that memories should be treasured, no matter how cruel or happy it could be. All in all, I love your game and the characters, especially the story. It's kind of realistic with a pinch of fiction. But I love what I saw though, a hard punch of reality isn't bad, after all it is where we are right now. So once again, thank you for making this wonderful game.

P.S. It made me cry though, and it sure is worth a tear drop, although I cried like child (yep, I'm exaggerating a bit but I really cried)

Thank you so much for your hearty comment! I am really happy it could give you so much :)

You're welcome! It's a wonderful experience to play this game, so please make more of it. You made a wonderful story and I hope you make more wholesome stories.

Hi! i'm a fan of your work and because of this i would know if in the future, will this game comes on Steam?

Hey thanks! I have no plans to bring this to Steam at the moment

Oh... it's really a shame because One Last Salty Kiss is really a beautiful visual novel and it's also in italian

No words to describe how emotional this was.. what a journey this story has been.. everything was fantastic! from the beautiful art to the soothing music and waves.. you dear developer made something that dug damn near hearts and I'm sure everyone who has experienced this will agree with that!  looking forward to future masterpieces!

Thank you so much for reading and for the kind words!

I finished this visual novel a few minutes back and man, it was such an emotional rollercoaster for me :'(. I wanted to let you know from the bottom of my heart that I truly appreciate your work and thank you for creating this piece of art.

Thank you very much for playing, I'm really happy that you could enjoy it

Here is my review of OLSK!

Thank you for the review, it was very entertaining to watch! I'm really happy that you had a good time with OLSK

Thank you!
You did a great job. Keep up the good work.
:)

Hello Andrea,

I've just finished reading One Last Salty Kiss....and I have to say it is an outstanding work! After going through the extra's galleries, I can see how much work you put into every detail of this novel: from characterization to background art, to sprite details.... Every last element of this story is perfect.

Thank you for creating such an enjoyable Visual Novel.

I just have read this VN in russian translation made by some enthusiast. And I remembered why I love visual novels so much. You know, a lot of novels which are translated to Russian language are full of hentai, ecchi and similar content. But it weren't, aren't and will never be the main advantages of such games.  The soul. The atmosphere of this game made me crazy after passing this one.

I felt a great number of emotions. And they are priceless. That's why it's a 5-star game IMHO. Maybe I just tired of endless hentai in VNs but I really love this game!

*Sorry for my bad english if you don't understand something :) *

Thank you! I'm really happy that it was able to transmit something to you, it really means a lot.

[Spoiler Warning]
That was pretty good, but overall I think it felt pretty drawn-out. When he asks Giovanni about Azzurra, then he gets back to the spot to meet with her, I was honestly feeling like I just want it to be over.  Luckily his time with her after that saves it, but then again once it comes back to Giovanni, my interest fluctuated again.

Tbh I wasn't drawn in from the very beginning. It only got interesting for me when the truth behind her starts being undiscovered. I think a big factor in that is the art style. I would have preferred a more serious style especially cause the story does get pretty serious, I feel like it would have made more impact if it wasn't so cartoon. (Mind that this is the first vn I read from you tho)
For almost the whole time, I wasn't really interested in the visuals, and was just looking at the text box. I think this was a factor why I felt so tired after reading, as I was just focusing on that rather that occasionally looking around. I don't think this means it necessarily needs more backgrounds/cg but the bgs were just so simple that I already processed what they are the first time I saw them.

Despite not being too interested in Giovanni's parts, I think you did a good job on circling it around at the end. Him inviting him for food like he did at the start. I felt like actually showing the dinner was unnecessary tho. It could have just ended with him being hired, then you could have shown the last part with Azzurra the next morning as an epilogue after the credits imo. Him being hired already felt like a good ending, and you could have given the players time to process that if you showed the credits right after. I think I would have cared about his last meeting with her more if I have processed him being hired already.

Thinking back to it now, I liked the story. But I could have taken it in a shorter time, and I would still have the same enjoyment.

Thanks for the criticism, it's really helpful to have other perspectives and I really appreciate the effort you put into this! Do you have some examples of VNs with a serious art style that's appropriate, in your opinion?

Also, can you please add a spoiler warning at the top of your post? Thank you!

Oh I should have added that I know the art style is completely subjective. I'm not saying you actually need to change it, but just something you can consider. I understand that an art style could be something important to an artist, and they would want to portray their ideas in a certain way.
I actually don't know much VNs to really give an example like that, and honestly idk what exactly is a style I think is appropriate.  Maybe it's not necessarily changing the art style but just putting some more details to the backgrounds or even characters to make them a bit more realistic.  I do think how it looks like right now has a certain charm to it tho. What I said is really just a personal preference more than anything, I don't wanna disrupt you as an artist.

I see, thanks for the honesty, you've been making me think about my work under a different light and that's invaluable. Hope I will create something more appealing to you in the future.

Wow... What a ride that was! Aside from a few grammar/technical errors (characters speaking lines when it was meant to be Michele's inner monologue), I'd call this perfect!

Oh wow, thank you! I'm sorry about the mistakes, do you have any reference as to where they are, so that I can fix them? Even just indicative

I remember one was with the hotel owner towards the end of the story (right outside of the locked room). I don't remember where the other one was.

Thank you for the help, I'll check those out and fix them!
